EARLY PORT

Internet Information Services - Prerequisite

The finishing URL would have been provided to you, this will direct you to install the .pfx directly

Search and open IIS

Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager

Open the Domain and locate "Server Certificates"

Click on Import under the actions section

Locate and import the .pfx you downloaded from Step 1

Enter the Password provided by Ripe Group

Once imported locate Default Web Site under the Sites connections Menu

Right-click open this and select "Edit Bindings"

Click onto https port: 443 and click Edit

Click on Select

Select the recently imported certificate and click Ok

You imported this in Step 4

The longest expiration date is your friend, always choose the longest expiration date. They typically are issued for roughly ~13 months.

Select View and confirm the validity dates

WARNING

If the "Valid from" dates are not typically for 1+ years go back and select the right certificate

Click Ok to finalise changes

SUCCESS

You can now close IIS (Internet Information Services Manager)


Remote Desktop Gateway Manager

Search & open Remote Desktop Gateway Manager

The below error should appear: (THIS IS NORMAL)

"The Certificate in RS is different from the one RD Gateway service is running with. You must restart the RD Gateway service for the new certificate to take effect and doing this will disconnect all active connections. To restart the service now, click Yes. To restart the service manually later, click No."

Click "Yes"

Click on View or modify certificate properties

This should be viewable after you have clicked on your local server in the top-left

Click on Import Certificate

Import the certificate and click Apply

Go for the longest expiration date available

SUCCESS

Once all above steps have been completed you should see a similiar screen to the below.
